FAA Mandates Commercial use of Drones to make money
The FAA says flying a drone for recreation is OK, as long you follow its safety guidelines for model aircraft.

Flying aircraft 55 pounds or lighter and keeping the drone in the operator's line of sight at all times is fine for recreation.
So for the real estate agent in Texas looking to use drones for capturing their listing photos and aerial property amenities is not allowed.
In June 2014 the FAA clarified its guidelines and stated that a real estate agent flying a drone "to photograph a property that he/she is trying to sell" and using the photos for real estate listings is not considered recreation.
By September 2015 Congress has asked the FAA to create rules and regulations on civilian drone use.
Only time will tell....
This doesn't stop you from buying your own drone for the Holidays
Remember a drone can be used by anyone for recreational use as long as one follows the FAA guidelines.

While I have seen many using drones for their own listings it would be wise to wait and see what the FAA guidelines will be September 2015.
Don't take a chance being fined for commercial use which is illegal.
